The Leaving Bentley Checkout Utility (LBC) must be run while on campus. You MUST right-click on the link, choose Save Target As, Save and then Run the utility. Leaving Bentley Checkout Utility.
The LBC must be completed by all undergraduate students in the Mobile Computing Program prior to graduation. This important process ensures the following:
- Your windows operating system will continue to run post-graduation
- Removes Sophos (Antivirus software) as required by Microsoft License Agreement
- Removes your notebook from the Bentley Domain and creates a local account
The LBC utility is available December 15 through graduation. The process runs in less than 10 minutes and does not require data to be backed up.
December 15, 2015: Process to convert Microsoft License to work after graduation becomes active. You must reboot your notebook and login to the Bentley network (wired and on campus) to run the process. This process must be completed by February 26, 2016. If you do not run this process prior to graduation, Windows 7 will stop working on your notebook and we will not be able to assist you.
February 26, 2016: As of this date, your notebook computer is no longer supported through the Bentley Mobile Computing Program.
August 1, 2016: Your Bentley email and network account are permanently deleted. Access to network resources including Blackboard and myBentley will be removed.
Seniors must complete the process prior to graduation. Running the LBC utility will not affect your access to your Bentley email. Many applications including Microsoft Office are legally licensed to remain on your notebook.
