Support for Your Site
We work collaboratively with constituents across the institution to build sites that support their mission and meet users' needs. Requests for site support typically fall into 2 buckets: 1) content updates or 2) design/development support.
Content Updates: DIY or Support from Web Publishing
DIY Content Updates
Content updates can include copy changes, adding pages to your site, uploading images, creating or updating links, etc. These types of changes can be made real-time by certified pagemasters (users who have received Drupal training) without any pre-approval or support from the Digital Engagement team.
Our site is built in Drupal, an open source content management system (CMS), which enables a distributed content creation environment. There are dozens of certified pagemasters across the institution who are authorized to make real-time content updates to their site. Pagemasters receive ongoing training and support (see the Pagemaster Resources page) as a service of the Marketing & Communications division including:
- User Groups and Open Labs
- Ongoing training classes or on-demand training videos (available on the online training site)
Not sure if you have a certified pagemaster for your site or want to receive pagemaster training? Contact Web Publishing at ga_webpublishing@bentley.edu
Support from Web Publishing
If you're a pagemaster and not sure how to make content updates to your site (perhaps it's been a while!) or your pagemaster is out and you need immediate support, our Drupal Support Manager is always available to help you make content updates to your site.
Contact Web Publishing at ga_webpublishing@bentley.edu for any content-related support requests.
Design and Development Support
You will need design and development support from the Digital Engagement Office if you are interested in:
- adding new features or functionality to your site
- creating a site in support of a new institutional initiatives
- revamping your existing site beyond content changes
Contact Val Fox in the Digital Engagement Office at vfox@bentley.edu for additional information.
