Sending Informaton in Paper Form
In the course of your normal business, if you need to send paper copies of documents via mail to service providers that contain more than 25 records of Level 1 data, please use FedEx’s Direct Signature service. This service costs an additional $2.75 per package, but requires the package to be signed for by someone in a suite or floor of the designated business and allows Bentley to track the receipt of the information.
Sending Informaton in Electronic Form
If you need to share Level 1 or 2 data with third parties electronically, the information needs to be encrypted during the transmission. Many vendors offer their own Secure FTP or encrypted drop sites for sharing data. However, if the vendor you are working with does not use secure FTP or another secure electronic means, the University has an account with YouSendIt to allow authorized individuals within departments to securely send informant to third parties. Please contact your Key User or Patty Patria if you need access to YouSendIt.
