Peer Advisers
Welcome to the Bentley University Peer Adviser Page! Here you will be able to find all sorts of information about who and what the Peer Advisers are and also how to become a Peer Adviser.
Peer advisers (PAs) are Bentley students who have participated in Bentley Education Abroad programs and are knowledgeable and passionate about the educational and personal benefits of international education. PAs represent the Office of International Education, acting as student liaisons to educate the Bentley University community about international opportunities. For students considering education abroad, or students preparing to depart, a PA is an extremely valuable resource!

Becoming a Peer Adviser
If you had a life-changing semester or summer abroad and you're serious about sharing your experience with your peers, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Becoming a PA is a fantastic way to gain leadership experience in international education.
The primary roles of a peer adviser are:
Promote international education opportunities
- Speak at information sessions, classroom visits, and residence halls about the academic and cultural benefits of education abroad programs
- Represent the Office of International Education at high profile events geared to prospective Bentley students and parents (Admissions Open Houses, Homecoming, Family Weekend, etc.)
- Represent your program at the fall Education Abroad Fair
Advise pre-departure students
- Participate in and co-lead general and program-specific orientation meetings
- Answer individual questions from students and refer to appropriate staff when necessary
- Host "send-off" get-togethers for students preparing to study abroad
What will I gain by becoming a Peer Adviser?
PAs continue to maximize their education abroad experience by sharing it with others. PAs gain experience and develop skills in creating marketing strategies, program planning and execution, leadership, public speaking, and more!
