University Identity

With each phrase we choose to describe Bentley University, with every photograph we choose, and whenever we use our logo, we are creating an image of our institution. These verbal and visual elements introduce Bentley to those who do not yet know us and foster a first impression of the university. For those who do know Bentley, these elements reinforce our reputation and image. Our brand image is both drawn from and enriched by the actual experience of Bentley.

Projecting a clear, consistent, compelling identity for Bentley is central to raising the university's profile among prospective students, parents, alumni, the media, and other key external audiences. Having a proliferation of logos and looks associated with the Bentley works against those strategic goals. The university does not create or support the use of special, stand-alone logos for individual departments, programs or centers. The Marketing Communication staff can work with you to develop distinctive and eye-catching material that incorporates and reflects the Bentley identity, fonts, colors and logo.

Bentley Logo

Very often, the first contact that people have with the Bentley is through the images and materials that they see. A strong brand image reinforces our positioning. Using our logo with consistent colors and fonts helps us build our brand and raise our profile. Please do not attempt to copy the logo from other places on the web site or from PDF files, or to scan the logo from a hard copy of a printed piece. These methods produce a poor-quality, distorted image that  undercuts the professionalism communicated through our publications.

Bentley logos, seals and word marks are registered service marks and the exclusive property of the institution. The university does not approve the use of these marks for personal projects. The use of these registered marks for commercial purposes, including reproduction on merchandise, is expressly prohibited, unless the producer has a license agreement with Bentley that includes provision for such use.

Specialized Logos

Projecting a clear, consistent, compelling identity for Bentley is central to raising the school’s profile among prospective students, parents, alumni, the media, and other key external audiences. Having a proliferation of logos associated with the Bentley works against those strategic goals. The university does not create or support the off-campus use of special, stand-alone logos for individual departments, programs or centers. The Marketing Communication Department staff can work with you to develop external materials that are distinctive and eye-catching but which also incorporate and reflect the Bentley identity.
