If your site has unique features; or, if there are a number of people who contribute to site maintenance, it may be beneficial to have a 'custom' training workshop, with documentation, developed for your specific needs. Email jmanning@bentley.edu to make a request for this type of training.
Drupal 7 Small Group and Individual Training Workshop: offered as needed
Description: this hands-on, slow-paced workshop covers the basic elements of creating and editing Drupal 7 pages and site-specific special features
Audience: client teams with sites that require more advanced PageMaster skills
Topics may include:
- Brief overview of the Drupal content management system
- Logging in and editing account information
- Locating and accessing existing Drupal pages (covers Workbench)
- Working with Moderation statuses
- Creating new pages
- Adding header images
- The formatting toolbar (WYSIWIG editor)
- Adding content
- Creating and editing links (external, internal, anchor)
- File naming conventions
- Uploading and linking to files
- Uploading and inserting images
- Creating and editing tables
- Adding site menu
- Adding navigation item within site menu
- Manipulating site menu
- Using the advanced features employed on the site
Note: these group training classes may be shorter than two hours and may only cover some of the above topics depending on the specific needs of the group.
