CEPE Certificate Completion

CEPE Certificate Completion

Bentley University has discontinued its professional and continuing education programs, with a few exceptions listed below. Information regarding part-time undergraduate and post baccalaureate programs can be found at
Undergraduate Evening Programs.

Students formally enrolled in discontinued certificate programs can review the alternative ways to earn credit toward a certificate below.

Students who have completed at least half of a certificate program

For those students who have completed at least half of the Bentley courses or CEU’s required for a certificate, Bentley will accept credit toward a certificate for courses successfully completed at Boston University, Emmanuel College, Lesley University, Merrimack College, Northeastern University, Stonehill College, and Suffolk University. These courses should be similar to what you would have taken, but do not need to be identical.

If you identify courses at other schools, and you wish credit toward the certificate, please check with us before enrolling. Simply send an e-mail to Pat Rogers and she will respond as quickly as possible.

Note for Retirement and Benefit Plans Management Certificates:
Students may submit proof of the following to substitute for a course:

  • American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPA) 2002 Northeast Area Employee Benefits Conference (must have documentation of earning 16 ASPA CE credits for attendance); or,
  • Passing one or more Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) and/or Accredited Pension Representative (APR) examinations.

Fulfilling the certificate:
If you have successfully completed courses at another institution and wish to apply those credits to a Bentley certificate, you must send an official transcript or grade report to:

You may also fax this information to 781.891.3428.

With the official documentation, you should include a signed request for the certificate. This request must include:

  • your name (as you would like it to appear on the certificate);
  • your Bentley ID or SSN;
  • the name of the certificate program;
    the address to which the certificate should be sent; and,
  • a telephone number or e-mail address where you can be reached.

Certificate completions will be evaluated and processed as soon as possible.
It is not unusual for this process to take four to six weeks.

Students who have completed less than half of a certificate program

If you have taken fewer than half the requirements toward a Bentley certificate, it might be possible to receive credit for your courses toward a certificate in programs offered at other institutions. Boston University, Emmanuel College, Lesley University, Merrimack College, Northeastern University, Stonehill College, and Suffolk University are a few institutions that have similar programs. Contact the program director at each school directly.
