Who to Contact and Office Hours

Bentley is responsible for troubles with broken jacks, local dialing, no dial tones, static and voicemail issues. To report trouble, please send an email to helpdesk@bentley.edu.  Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Lindsay Hall 18.  If you have any questions about the phone service at Bentley, please contact the Help Desk at 781.891.3122.

MobileSphere is responsible for billing inquiries, long distance and international services. To sign up with MobileSphere, go to http://www.cellularld.com/. To contact Mobilesphere dial 1.866.456.3176.

Dialing Instructions to Other Telephone Numbers

  • University Police Emergency Dial 3131
  • University Police Non-Emergency dial 2201
  • When making a call on campus, dial the four digit extension number only.

Dialing Local or Metropolitan Phone Numbers

  • Local and Metropolitan calls are free.
  • When you are calling a local or metropolitan phone number, dial 9 + 1 + area code+ 7 digit number. Please refer to your local phone directory for a listing of local and metropolitan exchanges.

Dialing Long Distance Phone Numbers

  1. Dial 7777 (access number)
  2. At the voice prompt enter your account number
  3. At the prompt dial 1 + area code + 7 digit number

Dialing International Phone Numbers

  1. Dial 7777 (access number)
  2. At the voice prompt enter your account number
  3. At the prompt dial 011 + country code + city code (if needed) + number

Using Calling and Credit Cards on Campus

In order to use a calling card or credit card on campus, there must be a toll-free number to access on the card for the call to go through from the university phone system.
