Orientation 2009

Welcome!

Dear Bentley Student:

Welcome to the Bentley community! You are joining a group of students, faculty, staff and administrators who care about learning, who are committed to the quality of the Bentley experience, and are dedicated to making your transition to Bentley a successful one.

We understand that you may be nervous, but we hope you are as excited as we are. During the June New Student Orientation Program there were sessions helping students acclimate to the campus and to college life. Please check out some video clips of various sessions from the program that I think would be useful for you; you can find these on the right side of this page.

Since you were not able to join us in June for the New Student Orientation Program, we have a special session planned for you.

The New Student Information Session
Tuesday, September 1, 2009
9:45 a.m.
Adamian Commons, Adamian Graduate Center

During this session you will receive information on your fall academic schedule, the academic curriculum, core values of the institution and take the English Placement Exam (required for all entering first year students). Once this session concludes (approximately 1:00 p.m.) you may join the First Week program which begins that same day. If you are a resident student, you will move into your residence hall before 9:45 a.m. or after 1:00 p.m. Lunch is available for all first year students and their families from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Beginning at 3:00 p.m., Bentley welcomes all new students at the mandatory Convocation ceremony on the Library Quad. Your family or guests are welcome to stay for this formal introduction to the academic year. You will sit together as a member of the Class of 2013 for the first time and go directly to your first class immediately following.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call my office at 781.891.2271. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Nina DeAgrela
Assistant Director of Student Affairs
Director of New Student Orientation
