Shawnette Adams, a Bentley University human factors in information design candidate, received a Black Engineer of the Year — Modern Day Technology Leader Award in Washington, DC on February 7, 2014. This award was sponsored by the BEYA STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Global Competitiveness Conference, in which Shawnette was 1 of 15 awardees from the Northrop Grumman Corporation.
