Bentley recognizes its faculty, staff and student awards and honors.

Meredith Mason 

  • Marketing Professor Pierre Berthon’s paper “Mobility at work: A typology of mobile communities of practice and contextual ambidexterity” was one of the top five most highly cited papers published in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems in 2016. 

  • Global Studies Professor Joni Seager has been appointed to the Maurice E. Goldman Professorship in Arts and Sciences effective January 1, 2017.

  • Erl Sorensen, senior lecturer of Mathematical Sciences, was awarded the 2016 BCASA Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching of Statistics. 

  • Olivia Corriveau ’18, Olivia von Oldenburg ’18, Angela Su ’17 and Meilin Zhu ’17 won first place at the 2016 Travelers IT Case Competition. The team worked under the supervision of Computer Information Systems Professor Heikki Topi.

  • Management Professor Anthony Buono was honored with the Management Consulting Division’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Contribution to Research & Practice in International Organizational Development at the 2016 Academy of Management meeting.

  • Director of Wellness and Prevention Jessica Greher Traue was named president of the New England College Health Association, a regional affiliate of the national American College Health Association.
     
  • Rossy Herrera ’17, Leo Ip ’17, Sully Jimenez ’17, Megan Lieu ’17, Anh Nguyen ’17, Jayme Parker ‘17, Malakhai Pearson ’17, Tony Show ‘17, Greg Snow ’17 and Jordan Venne ’17 received the Santander Universities Study Abroad Scholarship and presented their cultural investigation projects to the Bentley Community and representatives from Santander Bank on September 16.
     
  • Professor of Natural and Applied Sciences P. Thompson (“Thom”) Davis was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to study glacial melting implications of the “Ice Age.”
     
  • Professor of Management, Cynthia Clark, was named a Fulbright Scholar for 2016-2017 academic year. She will conduct research in Spain about ethics and corporate governance.
     
  • Professor of Accounting and Information Systems, Jane Fedorowicz, received Bentley’s Mee Family Prize at the 2016 convocation ceremony.
     
  • Emeritus Professor of International Economics Alex Zampieron was presented the first annual Dr. Gregory H. Adamian Award for Lifetime Teaching Excellence at the 2016 convocation ceremony.
     
  • Mari-Klara Stein, graduate of the Bentley PhD program in Business, won the 2016 CIONET “European Research Paper of the Year” award, along with Information and Process Management Professor Bob Galliers, and former Bentley Professor and PhD Director, Sue Newell.
     
  • Professor of English and Media Studies Dr. Wiley Davi was named the fourth Associate Dean of Arts & Sciences.
