Bio:

Though John has worked as a professional in higher education for about 17 years, he considers his time as an undergraduate RA at UConn to be his first job in student affairs. It was John's experience as an RA that led him, 8 years and two post-collegiate jobs later, to accept a full time position at the University of Connecticut. John remained as a Residence Director at Connecticut for 4 years. He then took time off to complete his Master's degree at Boston College. After 2 years at BC, John began work in various roles at Boston University. He remained there for 8 years and arrived at Bentley University in 2004.

Though John was born in the U.S., his family moved to Sardinia, Italy before his first birthday - so his first language was Italian. Both John's parents were born and raised on the island and they remained there until he was about six and a half years old. At that point they relocated to the U.S. and, after the initial culture shock (English is a complex language!), John settled into the Stamford public school system and then onto the University of Connecticut.

John is now married, and the fortunate father of two boys. As a family, they like Legos, baseball, Star Wars, and macaroni and cheese (the boys are young).
