Theme Weeks

The Office of Residence Life sponsors several theme weeks with other departments every year.  A committee is established for each theme week consisting of Student Affairs staff and students.  All theme weeks include social and educational programs that are fun and have an impact on those who attend.   Typically there is a main event or speaker and many free promotional items are given out throughout the week.

Romance, Respect, and Responsibility Week (TBD for 2009):
Romance, Respect, and Responsibility Week is typically the week of or before Valentine's Day and the programs promote healthy relationships, sexuality, and communication. Residence Life, The Center for Health and Wellness, other offices, and student leaders on campus plan events to educate and begin discussions about the topics listed above.

NCAA Week (October 18th-23rd):
Residence Life supports The Center for Health and Wellness in their effort to promote Alcohol Awareness during National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week. A series of programs in the residence halls and throughout campus focus on educating the Bentley community about this important issue.

Wellness Week (TBD for Fall 2008):
Wellness Week is a week that promotes physical and mental health and nutrition. Residence Life, The Center for Health and Wellness, other offices, and student leaders from various student organizations host programs and guest speakers to start discussions about these important topics.

Culturefest Week (TBD for Fall 2008):
Culturefest will be a week of programs committed to celebrating the many cultures that make up the Bentley community and educating students about diversity. Residence Life works closely with the Multicultural Center and International Student Services to make this week fun and successful.
