Business Bowl
The Bahamas: More than a Beach, Be a Coach
Third Annual Bentley Bahamas Business Bowl
Bentley is hosting 100 Bahamian Junior Achievement students in a mini-case/product development competition event. Twelve teams of Bahamian high school students, coached by Bentley seniors, will compete to develop and present their best ideas to a panel of judges.
We hope that you can act as a coach for a student team. You and your fellow Bentley coach would help the team to get organized, answer questions, and generally cheer them on as they work on their project. No special technical knowledge is required, just energy and enthusiasm. Seniors who participated last year had a wonderful time. They loved working with the Junior Achievement students and the JA students loved them.
Busses will leave the Atlantis to go to Bowl site at about 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday (by this time you probably will have soaked up about as much sun as you can take for the day) and end no later the 7:00 p.m. (so there will plenty of time to join your Bentley friends for dinner before our buses leave for a club at about 10:00 p.m.).
This is a great opportunity to give back something to the Bahamian community that hosts us and will certainly be a fun afternoon. We have lots of prizes to award to the Bahamian students as well as to Bentley coaches
Coaching opportunities still available. If interested talk to Bentley staff member or sign up with Jeannette Buntin: jbuntin@bentley.edu
