Welcome to the Bentley Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Workshops

The Bentley Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (BLITC) holds tax education workshops in local communities to educate individuals regarding their rights and responsibilities as taxpayers. The workshops consist of informal presentations, during which the management team is available to answer questions. The workshop information includes:

  • The purpose of BLITC and how it can assist taxpayers
  • What individuals must file a tax return
  • The benefits of the Earned Income Tax Credit and who qualifies
  • The rights and responsibilities of taxpayers
  • How to get a Tax Identification Number
  • Confidentiality at the BLITC

We have worked with many community agencies in the past including:

  • ESL classes
  • Clergy
  • Woman's shelters
  • Veterans Programs
  • Catholic Charities
  • And Jewish Vocational Services
