Dear Student Organization Advisers,

First off, our sincere thanks for volunteering your time as an adviser to a Bentley student organization. Whether you are experienced or new to the position, you are an essential factor in the success of our student organizations, and we assure you the time spent with your group will be rewarding and exciting. The Office of Student Activities’ staff is looking forward to working closely with you to assure continued success for our students.

We have established this adviser’s manual to provide you with information about the available resources for you and the organization(s) you advise. We encourage you to read these polices, procedures, and forms thoroughly so you may become familiar with how we manage our student organizations. We have included Bentley specific forms and polices, and a fantastic general advising manual from the ACPA archive to give you a more expansive understanding of student organizations. Our greatest hope is to enhance the student organizations by creating a community of responsible, dedicated students, and your presence helps manifest that hope.

The services that we provide to advisers and student organizations are constantly changing and improving. We are always happy to hear your suggestions and comments about this manual, as well as any other services that may assist you in your advising role.

Know that your commitment and dedication to enhancing the student organizations is valued greatly.

Kind regards,
