Pre-law Program
The Law Department's unique Pre-Law Program is targeted to students interested in pursuing a career in law. The Pre-Law Program allows students to select a law faculty member as a law mentor to advise and help them construct a complete academic path to develop the skills necessary for the study of or a career in law.
Since law schools do not recommend any one curriculum or major, students should pursue the courses of study in business and liberal arts of most interest to them and, in particular, courses designed to develop or enhance skills such as thinking logically and analytically, communicating effectively, and heightening social, political and ethical awareness. In addition, students contemplating law school are advised in the entire application process including law school selection, the LSAT exam, letters of recommendation and other related matters. Students opting for other law-related careers are also counseled appropriately. The Pre-Law Program also offers resources to students after graduation from Bentley.
