Assistant Professor, Accountancy

What do you teach?
I teach Advanced Federal Taxation at the undergraduate level, as well as Federal Income Taxation for graduate students.

Why do you like teaching at Bentley?
I love teaching. It combines my passion for working with students with my affinity for the practice and challenges of income tax. Our high-tech resources and relationships with community and corporate partners give our students a lot of opportunities. It’s wonderful to see a student take advantage of these so they can begin creating the exact career they want after graduation.

What is your teaching style?
My class is very fast-paced and combines lectures, problem-solving, case analysis and discussion. It’s not enough for you to just learn the rules of accounting; you need to be able to apply them and think of ways they can help your clients or company do better.

What advice would you offer a new Bentley student?
Don’t underestimate yourself — you’d be amazed at what you can do if you push yourself. Your academic and professional careers will be what you make of them, so take advantage of every opportunity that you can.
