Liberal Studies Major
The liberal studies major is an optional double major that complements and adds value to any other business major. The cutting edge program, not offered at any other business school, allows you to make meaningful connections across and within disciplines, and to develop valuable skills in critical thinking, creative analysis and communication — skills that are vital to succeed both professionally and personally.
The liberal studies major (LSM) demonstrates to prospective employers your ability to combine business know-how with multidisciplinary thinking. The LSM curriculum helps students live a meaningful life in a multi-faceted world. Students will no longer have to choose between a professionally focused degree and a liberal arts education.
In pursuing a liberal studies major, students are not required to take any additional courses beyond what is already required. Students need to take a total of eight courses simultaneously that fulfill General Education and elective requirements. Students have the freedom to plan part of their studies around a particular theme, based on one of several concentrations.
