Transfer Credit Policy
The academic program at Bentley combines a general education liberal arts foundation with a business core curriculum during a student's first two years at the college. Therefore, Bentley commonly accepts course work completed at other institutions where the content and depth of a course is similar to a Bentley course.
However, the transfer credit policy at Bentley will not award credit for:
- Courses where the student earned below a "C" grade or its equivalent
- Courses that are remedial or offered at the pre-collegiate level
- Courses that are designated with less than 3 credit hours
- Courses that are non-academic in nature (e.g., internships, recreational, etc.)
- Courses completed at a non-regionally accredited institution
Important Note: All courses will be evaluated by faculty members to determine, whether or not, content is comparable to the breadth and depth of specific Bentley courses.
Bentley students must complete 121 academic credits in order to receive a diploma. Transfer students may transfer a maximum of 60
of the required credits into Bentley.
Additional transfer credit policies stipulate:
- Only 2 courses may transfer into the academic major area of study
- Only 1 course may transfer into the academic minor
