Caryn is the dean of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, where she is responsible for engaging with faculty, staff and alumni to implement strategic initiatives. Before serving in this role, Caryn served as dean of the College of Business at Florida State University, where she developed a strategic plan for the business college, expanded its entrepreneurship program and led a fundraising campaign for a new building. Caryn previously held roles as dean, department head and professor of management and human resources in the College of Business at Utah State University. An established scholar in employment law and the design of ethical organizations, she has been published in journals including the Journal of Business Ethics and the American Business Law Journal. Caryn graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University in political science and received her JD from the University of Idaho College of Law. She was appointed to the board of trustees in 2019.
