Trustee Bio

Laurie Weingart is a trustee of Bentley University
Laurie R. Weingart, PhD

Dr. Weingart is the Richard M. and Margaret S. Cyert Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. She previously served the university for more than a year as interim provost. Prior to that, Laurie held roles within the Tepper School that included senior associate dean of education and director of the Accelerate Leadership Center. In addition, she has been president of the International Association for Conflict Management and founding president of the Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research. Her research examines negotiation, conflict and innovation in interdisciplinary teams, and she has published more than 60 articles and book chapters. Laurie earned her PhD and MS in Organizational Behavior from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her BS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana. She was elected to the board of trustees in 2020.
