Meet the Tutors

Krithi S.

Major: Marketing
Minor/LSM: Psychology
Graduating: 2021

Krithi enjoys hiking, spending time in nature, and photography. She also enjoys practicing Indian classical dance, which she has been doing for the past 10 years. Other interests include reading and writing poetry and fiction. Krithi one day dreams of working at an advertising firm so that she can apply her marketing major and psychology minor to analyze advertisements and commercials. Her favorite book is The Illustrated Man, by Ray Bradbury because of its writing style and the tone of the entire collection.


Alyssa K. 

Major: Creative Industries
Minor/LSM: Law
Graduating: 2021

Alyssa is the Writing Center’s world traveler. She has been to 24 countries (and counting), and currently speaks three languages. Alyssa likes traveling so much, that if she were to have a superpower she would choose the power of teleportation so that she could travel the world in the blink of an eye. Among friends, she is known for her organization and her style, and her dream job would be as an editor or publisher. Alyssa chose to become a Creative Industries major because it is the most arts-related business degree that Bentley offers.


Dana P.

Graduating: 2020

The three words that would best describe Dana would be social, supportive and confident. Dana’s dream job consists of any one in which she can communicate with and help people. Like salty caramel pretzel coffee ice cream, Dana is a little bit of everything, and her interests include everything from Ballroom Dancing, to Moot Court, to reading, to working at the writing center, to hiking and traveling. Fun fact: Dana is going abroad twice. She has previously studied in Sevilla and is also going abroad to Barcelona.


Joseph B.

Major: Management with a concentration in Supply Chain
Minor/LSM: Computer Information Systems
Graduating: 2019

Joe is a huge music aficionado, with similar interests in creative writing, poetry, film, and other art forms that evoke strong emotions from their audience. Despite his primary interests in academic and business writing, his favorite papers to work on are either poetry or philosophy. In his spare time, Joe conducts creative writing of his own, listens to music, and cooks. Among friends, Joe is usually known as a bit of a clown. If he’s not the funny guy, he’s usually seen as more methodical and thought-provoking. If he were an ice cream flavor, Joe would either be French vanilla, because he enjoys this spin on the classic vanilla, or strawberry cheesecake, because it reminds him of his last few days studying in Australia when he would peruse the streets of Melbourne to take in the scenery for last few times.

Adina S.

Graduating: 2019

Adina is a foodie. She loves trying new cuisines and visiting restaurants, especially Yamato for unlimited sushi. Her dream job would be as a food critic. Adina also likes exploring new places in and around Boston. Adina knows over 50 digits of pi, and if she had a superpower she would want it to be an eidetic memory like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Her favorite book is Stop Acting Rich And Start Living Like A Real Millionaire, which sparked her interest in personal finance.


Tara S. 

Major: Information Design and Corporate Communications
Minor: Computer Information Systems
Graduating: 2021

Tara loves reading and learning about architecture, and her dream job would be as a landscape designer. She also loves trying new foods and hiking with her mini dachshund named Sweet Pea. Tara decided to become an IDCC major because she enjoys being creative and thinking artistically, and is also interested in technology.

 


Gabe H.

Graduating: 2019

Growing up, Gabrielle always wanted to be an author, and to this day still does. She chose English as her major to help advance her toward this goal. Her interests include traveling, writing, and reading. Gabrielle’s favorite book is from the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore and is called Bitterblue. It is a young adult novel that talks about important issues in a way that's easy to understand.Other activities Gabrielle enjoys are cuddling with her cockapoo, Marlowe, and going into Harvard Square to visit Otto and/or Pinocchio's. Something interesting about Gabrielle that you would not learn from her resume is that her British accent is impeccable because although she was born in the U.S., she is also a U.K. citizen.


Roma G.

Graduating: 2019

Roma chose to become an IDCC major because she loves written, oral, and visual communication and refining her skills in these areas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, and crafting. Although growing up she wanted to be a writer, Roma’s current dream job would be as a motivational speaker. Her hidden talent is that, for 17 years, she trained in Indian classical dance.

Kimia enjoys Grey's Anatomy and binge-watching Friends over and over again. She also enjoys film, especially when she gets a discount on tickets from the student center. Her favorite book is the Odyssey. Her interests lie in creative poetry, film, and literature.

Among friends, Adam is known for his great sense of humor. He enjoys watching sitcoms on Netflix, reading, and running. Adam also loves cats, of which he has two, one named Cleo and one named Smudge. Fun fact: Adam’s hidden talents include the ability to wiggle his ears, and say the alphabet backward.


Emma G.

Like mint chip ice cream, Emma is cool, calm and collected. Although Emma may be easy going, she is extremely passionate about the things she enjoys doing, which include playing the violin, rowing, and writing. Emma also has a teacup Chihuahua named Lulu who is scared of everything, so Emma also enjoys spending time inside keeping Lulu company and watching movies.

Julia's favorite day of the week is Thursdays because Thursdays mean half-priced entrees at Margaritas in Waltham and a new episode of Law and Order to watch with her roommates. In addition to dinners out and Law and Order, Julia also enjoys spending time with her extended family, going shopping, drawing, and painting. Among friends, Julia is known for her determination, attention to detail, and organization, as well as for keeping a strict schedule, with every upcoming event noted in her planner.

 

 


Bailey S.

Bailey loves going out to eat, always has snacks on her person, and always has great nails. In addition to eating and nail art, Bailey enjoys dancing, travel, and fashion. Bailey’s dream is to do something that makes her happy. She chose to major in marketing because she has always had an interest in creative spaces but also appreciates the solidity of discipline. She believes that marketing is a fairly flexible major that will allow her to use her creative mind while still maintaining some level of hard skills.

Hayden has always had a passion for ancient History and wanted to be a Classical History professor for most of his life. He is also interested in international relations, as well as systems of government and their interactions with development and business. His dream would be to consult on governmental business policy reform or be an ambassador for the United States. Hayden’s favorite book is The Iliad, which combines his love of history, mythology, and poetry into one book of huge cultural significance. In his spare time, Hayden enjoys watching both professional and amateur documentaries about anything from criminal empires to urban transport engineering to archeological finds. Among friends, Hayden is known as the guy who has a bizarrely specific 'fun' fact for every scenario, and the three words that best describe him are “loves niche knowledge.”


Ara O.

Ara’s interests include photography and videography. In fact, her dream job would be to be a personal videographer for a celebrity and record their tour/concert experiences or music videos. In her free time, she loves to travel and attend concerts and festivals. When she was growing up, Ara wanted to be an accountant, but ultimately chose finance as her major. She enjoys finance because she is into numbers and solving mathematical equations. On the weekends, Ara likes to go into Harvard square with her friends from Bentley and explore places that they haven't been to before.

Graduating: 2020

Karissa chose marketing as her major because she loves working in a team to brainstorm creative and innovative marketing campaigns and evaluate them to see what worked. She also has a minor in Spanish for Business and Nonprofit Organizations. Karissa enjoys going for drives with her friends and blasting music, walking her dog/best friend, Buster, and traveling. Fun fact: Karissa has traveled to Peru and hiked to Machu Picchu.


Asimina M. 

Major: Economics-Finance

Graduating: 2021

Asimina’s interests include reading, binge-watching Netflix, hiking, and baking. The Ben & Jerry's "What Ice Cream Flavor Are You?" Quiz, determined that Asimina would be chocolate chip cookie dough, which she completely agrees with. Although as a child Asimina believed that she wanted to be a dolphin trainer, the opportunity to swim with dolphins deterred her from pursuing this career path, and she has instead decided to pursue a degree in Economics and finance. Asimina’s favorite weekend activity is visiting Harvard Square, where she enjoys getting ramen and ice cream from J.P. Licks.
