Bentley team progresses in the CFA Institute Research Challenge

Bentley University's CFA Institute Research Challenge has progressed to the final round of local competition.

Bentley University team that entered the CFA Institute Research Challenge has progressed to the final round of local competition. The group members are Ryan Ricci (Captain), Gita Ghantasala, Christopher Fallaque and John Lenz.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global competition that takes place in 87 countries, involves 1,100+ universities and included over 5,500 students. The competition, opened to both undergraduate and graduate students, tests the equity research and valuation, investment report writing, and presentation skills of participants. Each team works directly with a faculty advisor and an industry mentor to research and prepare an equity research report on a publicly traded company. Each team’s report is evaluated by capital market professionals who are members of the local CFA Society. The finalists, limited to 4 teams, present in front of a panel of CFA Institute members who select the winner. Local champions advance to regional competitions in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and EMEA, and then to the global final.

The Bentley University team is one of 4 finalists which include teams from Babson College, Northeastern University and Tufts University. The final presentations will take place on February 28th in Boston.
