Application Check-List

  • This application is for the 2018-2019 academic year. Candidates must be available for both semesters. 
    • If applicant is planning to study abroad during the 2018-2019 academic year, they may still apply. Please note, if accepted to both study abroad and the RA position, the candidate must choose which to pursue.
  • New RA Candidates:
    • Attend an information session, tabling event, or talk to a current RA about the position. 
    • Read the Position Description and the minimum requirements to apply. This information can be found on the Residential Center page under the Resident Assistant tab.
    • Fill out the application below. For new RA Candidates, a Cover Letter & Resume is required.
    • Carefully consider and respond to the essay question(s).
    • Ask one Bentley faculty/staff member to serve as a reference for your application.
    • Speak to a financial aid counselor if you are receiving any financial aid – compensation for this position can impact your financial aid portfolio.
    • Review your Fall 2018 time commitments during activity period on Wednesdays. All new RAs hired for the position will be required to complete RA 101. RA 101 is a workshop series dedicated to further development within the RA role. This workshop series will take place every other week starting on Wednesday, September 5th and will run until October 31st. Workshops will take place during the activity period at 2pm. This is a requirement of the RA position. 
    • If hired, there will be a mandatory RA orientation on Friday, April 27th at 4pm.
  • Returning RA Candidates:
    • Read the Position Description and the minimum requirements to apply. This information can be found on the Residential Center page under the Resident Assistant tab.
    • Fill out the application below.
    • Carefully consider and respond to the essay question(s).
    • Ask one Bentley faculty/staff member to serve as a reference for your application.

New RA Application Timeline/Interview Information

Please read the following timeline carefully: 

  • Monday, November 13th (applications available)
  • Application Due Dates:
    • If you are planning to be abroad for Spring 2018, please complete the application by Friday, December 1st at 4:30pm. Interviews for those studying abroad Spring 2018 will be conducted prior to the conclusion of the semester. More information will be communicated to interested candidates. 
    • All other applications are due by Friday, December 15th at 4:30pm.
  • New RA Group Process & Individual Interviews will be held on Saturday, January 27th or Sunday, January 28th. Candidates should hold both of these dates. The Residential Center will communicate with candidates the date of their Group Process and Individual Interview.  (Please note: most candidates will have their Group Process & Individual Interview on the same day.) 
  • Week of February 19th - Applicants notified of RA job status.
