Bentley Hosts 12th Annual IRS Town Meeting October 24, 2005

Waltham, Mass. - The Bentley College Law, Taxation and Financial Planning Department along with the Internal Revenue Service will host the12th Annual Internal Revenue Service Town Meeting on Monday, October 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Wilder Pavilion, Adamian Academic Center.


Keynote Speaker Robert C. Wilkerson, Director of the IRS Stakeholder Liaison Field Operations, will discuss Moving Ahead with the IRS. Other speakers and panel discussions will include:


  • Revised Circular 230 - ethical responsibilities for tax professionals
  • Examination initiatives: what you can expect in 2006
  • What's new in criminal investigation
  • Specialty programs: what's new in estate and gift, employment and excise tax compliance
