Dr. Richard O. Mason to Speak at Bentley College

WALTHAM, Mass.- Dr. Richard O. Mason, director of the Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility at Southern Methodist University, will deliver a lecture entitled "Leadership, Ethics and the Information Imperative" at Bentley College on Monday, April 1, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. His speech is part of the Verizon Visiting Professorship in Business Ethics and Information Technology, presented by Bentley College's Center for Business Ethics through the generous support of Verizon Communications, Inc. The event is free and open to the public.

Mason is also the Carr P. Collins Distinguished Professor of Management Information Science at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. His current areas of teaching include Corporate Ethics and Responsibility, Global Business Environment and Managing Emerging Technologies. An author of numerous publications, Mason has consulted with several corporations including General Motors, Kodak, the U.S. Census Bureau, IBM and Xerox. He is currently a board member of the Hopi Foundation and serves in an advisory capacity to Parkland Hospital and the City of Dallas.

Founded in 1976, Bentley's Center for Business Ethics is dedicated to promoting ethical business conduct in contemporary society. With a vast network of practitioners and scholars, and an expansive multimedia library, the center provides an international forum for benchmarking and research in business ethics.
