An overview of these levels include:
- Level 1 data includes a person's first and last name, or first initial and last name combined with their Social Security Number, Driver's License Number, Financial account number, health care or biometric data.
- Level 2 data includes information that requires protection from unauthorized use such as finances, legal matters, faculty grade worksheets, white page information, etc. that is not classified as Level 1.
- Level 3 data includes information that resides in the public domain like content and images on Bentley’s public web sites and the course catalog.
