President Gloria Larson rang the Nasdaq closing bell on April 20, 2017, to honor Bentley’s centennial year. She was joined by New York City area alumni and friends, while more than 13,000 watched on Facebook Live.

In her remarks, Larson credited Harry Bentley’s “one heck of a good idea” to start a one-room school for finance and accounting during World War I that has since transformed into the university we know today with majors across business and the liberal arts.

“It doesn’t get any better for Bentley to celebrate 100 years of progress by ringing the final Nasdaq bell,” said Larson. “I think Harry Bentley would be extraordinarily proud to see this today.”
