On April 5, 2018, senior leaders from PwC, of which eight are Bentley alumni, visited campus to learn more about the university and to explore ways to engage with the current curriculum to prepare students to be successful leaders in today's global business environment.

After kicking off the day with breakfast with President Larson at the President’s House, the PwC team met with faculty, staff and students to talk about how to further enhance Bentley’s long-term partnership with PwC, how our programs and resources are shaping the leaders of the future, and how to identify points of interest and opportunities to develop new curricula to address the needs of the future workforce.

“PwC has been a tremendous partner to Bentley for years,” said President Larson. “Our partnership will continue to deepen long into the future as we develop curricula that train students and the employees of tomorrow for the workplace of the future.”

Highlights of the day included a discussion with directors of the newly named Gloria Cordes Larson Center for Women and Business, of which PwC was a founding sponsor; a Fireside Chat with the Multicultural Center and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion; a meeting with Provost Lynne Rosansky; and a roundtable discussion with the Office of Career Services, which featured PwC student ambassadors.

The day concluded with a networking reception in the Cube in the new Bentley Arena. “The students we have from Bentley are just remarkable,” said Tim Ryan, PwC US Chairman and Senior Partner.

In closing his remarks to students, Ryan shared that being nimble, innovative and digitally fit are not just business skills, but life skills. “There is a lot of risk in changing; there is greater risk in not changing.”

He added: “Be respectful, keep your integrity and value your reputation. And as you progress in your career and in life, be optimistic.”
