Awards and Honors

Mohammad J. Abdolmohammadi has been named the Inaugural John E. Rhodes Professor of Accounting at Bentley University.

Miriam Boeri has been awarded a three year, $142,025 grant from the National Institutes of Health for a “Suburban Opioid Study.”

Ryan M. Bouldin was recognized by the Toxic Use Reduction Institute, The Massachusetts State Senate, and the Massachusetts House of Representatives for his work identifying the sources of toxic chemical exposure in children in childcare facilities and his demonstration of the cost and availability of safer alternatives through the “Safe, Healthy, Affordable, Responsible Environments (SHARE) for Early Childhood Education” project.

Alina M. Chircu was awarded the “Most Developmental Associate Editor Award,” by the Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (ECRA) (November, 2016).

W. Alec Cram was given the “Outstanding Associate Editor Award,” by the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) (2016).

Jane Fedorowicz was given the Lifetime Membership Award by the Association for Information Systems (2016).

Robert D. Galliers won the IS curriculum and education track best paper at the International Conference on Information Systems (December 2016).

Janis L. Gogan won the Student Case award (Faculty Supervisor) from NACRA (October 2016).

Gesa Kirsch has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer 2017 Stipend for the ongoing project “Legacies of Thought and Action: The Power of Professional Networks among 19th Century Women Physicians.”

Gopal V. Krishnan has been named Co-Editor of the American Accounting Association’s Accounting Horizons.

Marco Marabelli was given the Best Paper Proceedings Award at the Academy of Management (Organization and Management Theory Division) (March 2017)

Kristina Minnick has been appointed as the Stanton Research Professor of Finance at Bentley University.

Jeffrey G. Proudfoot won the “Outstanding Reviewer Award,” at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) (December 13, 2016)

Sandeep Purao’s proposal "Dealing with Value and Values in Smart Cities, has been sponsored by the SES Division at the National Science Foundation: Smart Cities and Communities, Federal, for $181,930.00. (September 2016 - August 2018).

Kartik Raman has been re-appointed as the George E. and Sally C. Kane Professor of Business and Finance at Bentley University.
