Applied Learning Experience

The applied learning experience is designed to help you use your Spanish language and cultural skills in real-world situations.

It is required for all students in the major in Spanish Studies.

Track I (non-native speakers)

You may complete your global experience in several ways. One option is to study abroad through one of Bentley’s approved Spanish-speaking programs. You may also complete a short-term study abroad program in the context of the Spanish-speaking world.

Track II (native speakers)

You will be required to participate in an internship with an organization that conducts business in the Spanish-speaking world. The internship may be completed in either the United States or in a Spanish-speaking country, as long as your work while interning is conducted in Spanish.
