In the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings of America’s Best Colleges 2013, Bentley University is ranked #4 among “Best Regional Universities - North.”  Bentley is also ranked among the Top 50 “Best Business Programs” in the country at #47. These two ranking categories are based on results from peer assessment surveys.

In the business specialties category, also based on results from peer assessment surveys,  Bentley’s Accounting program ranked #21 nationally and #1 in New England.

Among the top Regional Universities-North, Bentley was also ranked:

  • #3        Highest Freshman Retention Rate 

The average proportion of freshmen who entered the school in the fall of 2007 through fall 2010 and returned the following fall

  • # 6       Best Value 

The formula is based on the relationship of the school’s academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid

Each year, U.S. News surveys more than 1,800 colleges and universities and ranks them according to their own methodology.  The rankings are based on several key measures of quality including the results of peer assessment surveys completed by academic leaders and administrators (25%), graduation and retention rates (25%), faculty resources (20%), student selectivity (15%), financial resources (10%) and alumni giving (5%).
