Alumni Career Strategy Group
Formerly called “Fast Track Job Search,” this group can help you wherever you are on your career journey. Are you hoping to take your career to the next level? Thinking of making a career change? Meet the Facilitator

For the past thirty years, Bob Leahy ’74, MBA ’90, P ’09 ’10 has been a leader and “C”-level executive. He is a skilled operations, finance, and administration professional with experience in all aspects of business management, including strategic planning and human resources. A Double Falcon, Bob enjoys working with recent graduates as well as experienced alumni who are in transition or looking for new opportunities.
Thank you to Barbara Lipps who, as of November 2024, retired as a co-facilitator of the ACSG. Barbara has been an incredible collaborator and coach, drawing upon the combination of her recruiting experience and social work background to help individuals reach clarity about their career direction at opportune moments in their lives. We wish Barbara well on her next adventures.

Meet the Alumni Career Coaches
Jean Papalia brings extensive experience in career development to Bentley’s Alumni Career Services. Most recently, Jean was the director of the Career Center at Tufts University and prior to that she was the director of Alumni Career Services at Boston College. Previously, Jean worked in career development at the University of Pennsylvania and Bentley University. Over the course of her career, she has worked closely with thousands of hiring managers and job seekers of all ages and career stages. Jean is thrilled to be back at Bentley and looks forward to helping you manage the next step of your career.

Colleen Murphy is a career training and development professional with extensive experience in designing and facilitating innovative learning programs across corporate and higher education environments. She holds an M.Ed. and is highly skilled in career coaching, curriculum design, workshop facilitation, and the use of self-assessment tools that build self-awareness, confidence, and effectiveness in individuals and teams.
Her career includes roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Flagship Facilities Services, MIT, Suffolk Law School, and Bentley University, where she developed and delivered tailored training programs, managed large-scale projects, and collaborated with executives, faculty, and global professionals. Colleen was previously a Sr. Associate Director in Bentley's Graduate Career Development.
Colleen is adept at creating impactful, scalable learning experiences—ranging from new-hire training to career development intensives—that empower participants to apply their strengths in meaningful ways. An experienced project manager, she excels at building effective strategies, driving execution, and solving problems in dynamic environments. Whether working with graduate students, corporate professionals, or organizational leaders, Colleen is committed to fostering growth, engagement, and long-term success.

Bentley is a member school of EFMD's global network. The EFMD career portal connects you to global opportunities, where corporate members of EFMD’s global network post internship and job opportunities.
