Resume Resources

Your resume is one of the most effective tools you have in your personal marketing toolkit. Alumni Career Services holds a Resume Clinic every month, which includes one-on-one feedback from a recruiter or resume preparer on campus or via telephone. The dates and registration information are available on the Alumni Events Calendar.

Alumni Resume Guide

The Alumni Resume Guide is free of charge and available in the link below. The guide provides a template, a sample resume and suggestions for preparing summary and accomplishment statements, which are the two most critical aspects of your resume.

Professional Resume Writing Resources

If you would like to hire a professional resume writer to edit or write your resume, below are two approved resources we recommend to alumni.

  • The Resume Writer – Susan McCarthy designs resumes for upper management executives, mid-career professionals as well as recent college graduates, career-changers, and self-employed entrepreneurs.

  • Helene Lauer – Helene can update an old resume, introduce results-oriented accomplishments, identify transferrable skills and help you address gaps in employment.

In addition, the New England chapter of the Association of Career Professionals provides a list of members who are qualified to work with you to write your resume.
