Power Program ESL Tutoring

Program Description

The Power Program allows Bentley Students the opportunity to work with English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) teachers in the classroom in many different ways. Students assist the teachers by reading aloud, drawing on the blackboard, and conducting role-playing conversations in front of the class.

Bentley students aid the ESOL students in their writing and pronunciation of the English language. The Power Program allows students from all backgrounds an equal opportunity to learn English, and the Bentley students enrich and augment this experience.

Most importantly, both the ESOL and Bentley students will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with each other during coffee breaks. This allows time to share stories and backgrounds, to better understand the people we are working with.
