On Display - Bending Time: Stories of Time Travel, Alternate Timelines, and Shifting Realities

We all recently advanced our clocks by one hour, springing forward into longer days and later sunsets. Have you ever thought about what it would be like to jump forward or backward years or even decades? Or imagined what life would be like in an alternative timeline or a time loop? Where would you be, who might you meet, what choices would you make, what could you change?

The authors who penned the books on our new display imagined all of that, and more! "Bending Time" features stories about time travel, alternate timelines, and shifting realities. The selections are wide-ranging and include classics such as The Time Machine by H. G. Wells and Kindred by Octavia Butler, beloved book club favorites like Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife, and newer releases such as The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. This display isn't just for sci-fi fanatics, it's for readers who enjoy history, romance, mysteries, and magic. There's even a time travel tale that features Jane Austen!
