Writing Center

Get Writing Help

Writing can be challenging, whether it’s coming up with an initial idea, writing in a new form or discipline, finding a structure that makes sense, or just figuring out what words you want to use. Whatever the challenge, the Writing Center is here to help.

The Writing Center provides one-on-one assistance with all writing skills. It is staffed by a writing instructor and by highly trained student tutors hired for the quality of their own writing and for their friendliness.

Hundreds of Bentley students—students of all years and abilities—use the Writing Center each semester. If you’re interested, you can visit:

  • to find a welcoming and inclusive environment that embraces the various languages, dialects, backgrounds, and perspectives of all Bentley students.

  • at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to examining a final draft.

  • for any class in any department in which you’ve been assigned writing.

  • to talk about your writing generally or to work on writing that’s not for a specific class (eg. a poem or a law school application essay).

For more information, including tutor bios, frequently asked questions, or student and instructor resources, check out our student and faculty SharePoint site.

You can also check out some great insights from our tutors at our blog  "Writing Matters," or follow us on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram.

If you are an English-language learner, you are always welcome at the Writing Center. Additionally, the ESOL Center is another resource available to you.
