Database of the Month: Foundation Directory Online - Professional

Whether you are currently seeking funding for a project, or just curious about where to look for help with grant writing, the Foundation Directory Online Professional is a valuable resource to consult. This database provides information on grantmakers and their philanthropic activities and includes over 108,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S., and over 3 million recently awarded grants. 

Searching the Database

Selecting the Advanced Search option will allow you to search for grants by subject/field of interest, geographic focus, target population, type of support, and more.

Search results will list potential grantmakers, available grants, and recent recipients of related funding. 

In addition, you can browse a listing of recent Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for current funding opportunities from grantmakers that provide detailed submission guidelines and other useful information to help you choose the right match for your needs.
