Enjoy Library Resources From Home During Winter Break!
December 16, 2025
The library will be closed during the University's winter break (December 20-January 4), but our online resources are always open! Current Bentley students, faculty, and staff can access museum passes, ebook and audiobook collections, streaming films, online newspapers, and research databases via the library website. When we reopen on January 5 you are welcome to come in and enjoy the library's spaces and collections! Check our hours calendar before visiting to make sure the building is open.

Current Bentley students, faculty, and staff can access the resources listed below with your Bentley email and password.
Visit a museum
The library's Museum Pass Program offers museum passes that provide free or reduced admission to several Boston-area museums, sites, and attractions. Several of our passes are available digitally and can be reserved online and delivered by email any time during the break. These passes are listed as Pass Type: Digital Coupon Pass on the museum details page.
Unfortunately, not all museums offer a digital pass option. Physical passes for Zoo New England, Trustees of Reservations, and New England Botanic Garden need to be picked up in-person when the library is open. That means getting your passes before we close for winter break on December 19 or after we re-open on January 5.
Download ebooks and audiobooks to your mobile devices
Looking forward to catching up with your leisure reading but forgot to check books out before you left campus? No problem! You can download new releases, bestsellers, and classic favorites from OverDrive using the Libby app anywhere, anytime, on any device.
Stream popular movies and documentaries
The library provides streaming access to contemporary and classic feature films, award-winning documentaries, instructional videos, news broadcasts, and presentations through the following databases: Kanopy, Swank Digital Campus, Films on Demand, and Academic Video Online. Tip: if you're looking for popular movies and feature films, check Kanopy and Swank first!
Keep up with current events with our free online news subscriptions
Did you know that the library offers personal online subscriptions to Bloomberg.com, The Economist, Financial Times, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal? If you haven’t already, activate your subscriptions and download the mobile apps. Subscription registration and renewal instructions for all our news subscriptions are available on the Current News guide.
Use library research databases
Whether you have work to complete for a class, finally have time to start researching your family tree, or just want to explore a topic for personal learning, most of the library's research databases are available from off-campus. View the complete list on the library's Databases A-Z page.
We hope these resources help you have some winter break fun. Don't forget to check out your local public library while you are away from campus. A public library card often grants access to amazing online resources and in-person activities!
