Play Ball: Celebrating Opening Day

Make a short stop by the main floor of the library to explore a popup display of all things baseball.

From titles highlighting the history of the game, to stories shared by players, coaches, sportswriters and/or fans, this collection showcases the best the Bentley Library has to offer about or inspired by America's National Pastime.

In addition to the books on the designated table in the lobby, there also is a collection of highlighted films/DVDs on the endcaps outside the art gallery.

Materials will be displayed for a short time (Thursday March 30th until Friday April 7th). Don’t have the time to read or watch them right now? Stop by to note down a few titles to enjoy later or browse the collection online, sign into your library account, and pin them to your favorites' list. After April 7th, the titles are still available but will be returned to our shelves.

Want more? Even more titles are available from OverDrive/Libby and additional streaming films are available from Films on Demand including all 10 parts of the series Baseball: A Film by Ken Burns.

We hope you find a title or two to enjoy. If you have any questions or see any titles we may have missed, please don't hesitate to reach out to the library staff. We're happy to help.
