HCFS Staff

 

The most critical aspect to the Hughey Center’s success is its staff. Many talented individuals from around the world work together to achieve the center’s mission. Biographies for each staff member are provided below.

Management



Richard Gibble, MS, MBA

Director, Hughey Center for Financial Services

Bentley University

Richard Gibble is the director of the Hughey Center for Financial Services. Richard most recently worked as the senior investment analyst at a hedge fund of funds firm in Greenwich, Connecticut. He has also held investment positions at a mutual fund company and a private investment management company.

In the Hughey Center, Richard is responsible for integrating the Trading Room into Bentley University’s finance curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also teaches in the Finance Department and develops and delivers content for the nationally renowned, Wall Street 101 program.
 
Richard earned his MBA and MSF at the McCallum Graduate School, and his BA from Saint Anselm College.

 


Brice Soucy
Student Manager

Brice joined the Trading Room staff in September 2007 as a sophomore.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance with a minor in accountancy. Brice has become an active member in the Bentley Community by becoming vice president of research in the Bentley Investment Group and playing trumpet in the Bentley Jazz Band.  He is also a member of the Bentley Billiards Association and a member of the Bentley Leadership Society. His other accomplishments include the President’s List and a Presidential Scholarship.

In the summer of 2007 Brice interned in the Mergers and Acquisition Group of Deliotte & Touche USA LLP conducting due diligence and tax structuring for a wide range of combinations, including private equity buyouts. During the summer of 2009 Brice interned in the Business Valuation Services Group at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Brice’s responsibilities in the Trading Room include presenting mini-classes on the usability of financial research software, assisting students with class projects, and modifying mini-class material and tutorial project.

Alex Fopiano

Alex joined the Trading Room staff in September of 2009 as a graduate student.  He is currently pursuing his MS in Quantitative Finance at the McCallum Gradute School.  He receieved his Bachelor of Science from Bentley University in May of 2009.  Alex is currently a student member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

During the summer of 2008 Alex interned as a fixed income analyst at Logan Circle Partners.  While at Logan Circle he worked primarily with the gaming, lodging, food and beverage sector providing research support.  Previously, he interned with Morgan Stanley's Global Wealth Management Group.  There Alex served as an assistant to one of the firm's largest wealth management teams. 

Alex's current responsibilities include presenting and developing teaching content, assisting students with projects, and aiding with faculty research.


 

  Shohana Jannat

Shohana joined the Trading Room staff in May of 2009 as a freshman.  She is a member of the Honors Program and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in corporate finance and accounting with a minor in philosophy.  Her academic achievements include the President's List and the Presidential Scholarship for Academic Achievement.  She is involved with various student organizations on campus and has served on the executive board of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPHA), Bentley Asian Student Society (BASA), and the Academic Integrity Council. 

This summer Shohana will be interning with Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.  She is also participating in PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Leadership Adventure Program and KPMG's Future Diversity Leaders Program.

  

  Dan Delrosario 
  Trading Room Assistant

Dan joined the Trading Room staff in May 2008 at the conclusion of his freshman year. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in economics. Interested in the markets at an early age, Dan was a member of his high school investment club all four years and is now an energy analyst for Bentley Investment Group. An active participant in other aspects of the Bentley Community, Dan served as Slade Hall’s treasurer for Bentley Residence Hall Association and is a member of Bentley Water Polo Club. Dan achieved the status of Presidential Scholar his first year.

Dan’s responsibilities in the Trading Room include presenting mini-classes on the usability of financial research software, assisting students with class projects, and developing mini-class material and tutorial projects.

 

  Justin Lawlor
  Trading Room Assistant

Justin joined the Trading Room staff in April of 2009 as a freshman.  he is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics and finance and a liberal studies degree in global perspectives.  On campus, Justin served as an analyst for the Bentley Investment Group and has been an active participant in the Bentley Real Estate Group, Ski Club, Residence Hall Association, and Service-Learning program.  He is the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and received President's List recognition for each of his semesters at Bentley.

Justin’s responsibilities in the Trading Room include teaching workshops on the HCFS financial software applications, assisting students and faculty with financial research, and modifying mini-class material.

 


  Sean McGuirk 

  BS Finance, minor in Economics

Sean joined the Trading Room staff in May of 2009 as a graduate student.  He is currently pursuing his MSF at the McCallum Graduate School.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in economics from Bentley University.  During the 2009 academic year, Sean was healthcare analyst for the Bentley Investment Group.  Sean has successfully completed level one of the CFA designation and is planning to take the level two exam in June 2010. 

In the summer and fall of 2008 Sean interned in the investment management department of FM Global.  While at FM Global he worked with the senior vice president of investments, and provided input on decisions regarding the firm's indexed and long-only equity portfolios.  He also helped the equity analysts with stock specific research, and provided input on decisions regarding equities in their industry.


In the Hughey Center for Financial Services Sean's responsibilities include providing assistance to graduate and undergraduate students with their course projects and presenting mini-classes on the usability of financial software.


  Francisco Olivera-Dubon
  Trading Room Assistant

  BS Finance Candidate,

  Bentley University

Francisco joined the Trading Room staff in May of 2009 as a sophomore.  He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance.  His academic achievements include recognition on both the President's List and the Dean's List.  Francisco has focused his studies and interests on investing, being an active member of the Bentley Investment Group and the investing writer for The Vanguard.  He is also a founding father of the Bentley chapter of the Sigma Pi fraternity. 

Francisco has interned for three summers at Memorial capital as an investment analyst and spent one summer in Banco Santander's Investment Consulting Division.  In July 2008 Francisco found the FM Partnership, which manages an equity based, value oriented fund.  

Francisco's responsibilities in the Trading Room include presenting mini-classes on the usability of financial research software, assisting students with class projects, and developing mini-class material and tutorial projects.

 

  Zach Ripps
  Trading Room Assistant

  Bentley University


 

Zach joined the Trading Room staff in January 2009 as a junior.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting with a minor in economics.  Zach has become an active member of the Bentley Community by becoming Team Leader in the Healthcare sector of the Bentley Investment Group.  He is also a member of the Bentley University Honor Student Advisory Team.  His other accomplishments include the President's List and a Presidential Scholarship.

Since the summer of 2007, Zach has worked at Versailles Group, Ltd., an investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions.  He has done everything from financial analysis to writing offering memorandums.

Zach's responsibilities in the Trading Room include presenting mini-classes on the usability of financial research software, assisting students with class projects, and modifying mini-class material and tutorial projects.


Eric Bouchard

Trading Room Assistant

BS Economics and Finance Candidate

Bentley University

Eric joined the Trading Room staff in September 2009 as a senior.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance.  Eric is co-team leader in the Financials sector for the Bentley Investment Group.  His other accomplishments include the Dean's and President's Lists. 

In the summer of 2008 Eric interned in Merrill Lynch's Global Wealth Management division conducting equity and fixed income research.  During the summer of 2009 he interned as a financial analyst for Fairchild Semiconductor doing financial modeling and working on foreign exchange hedging and external reporting. 

Eric's responsibilities in the Trading Room include teaching mini-classes on the financial software applications, assisting students with research, and developing and modifying teaching materials. 

 


Rohith Lokareddy

Rohith joined the Trading Room staff in September 2009 as a senior.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance with a minor in Computer Information Systems. He successfully completed level one of the CFA exam in June 2009 and is a candidate in the FRM program. 

In the summer of 2009 Rohith interned in the Margin department at Fidelity Investments.  At Fidelity he worked with the Vice President to create a comprehensive document on Portfolio Margin.  He was also responsible for numerous process improvements in the department.

Rohith's responsibilities in the Trading Room include holding workshops on different financial software applications, helping students with projects and modifying class projects.   

 


Daniel Stroller

Dan joined the Trading Room staff in September of 2009 at the beginning of his freshman year. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance and a liberal studies degree in global perspectives.

Through his four years of high school, he was a member of Federal Reserve Challenge. Focusing his studies and interests on investing, Dan is a member of the Bentley Investment Group.

Dan's responsibilities in the Trading Room include holding workshops on the different financial software applications, helping students with assignments and modifying projects.   

    
 


Shamil Tejani

Trading Room Assistant

Shamil joined the Trading Room staff in September of 2009 at the beginning of his freshman year.  He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance. 

He participated in Wall Street 101 in the summer of 2007. 

Shamil's responsibilities in the Trading Room include assisting students and faculty with projects and research, as well as delivering mini-classes, and updating course materials and tutorials.
