Due to the inclement weather, Bentley University and the Bentley Library will be closing at 1:00 p.m. today, Thursday, January 2nd and will remain closed on Friday, January 3rd. The Bentley Library is scheduled to reopen at 8:00 a.m. ...

The Bentley Library is closed evenings and weekends while classes are not in session.  The library's hours for the period of January 2 - January 12 are:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED

Bentley University and the Bentley Library are closed for Winter Break from Saturday, December 21, 2013 through Wednesday, January 1, 2014.   The library will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday,  January 2, 2014.

Please note that the cafe will close at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, and remain closed until Tuesday, January 21, 2014.

Now showing in the McGladrey Art Gallery are paintings by Huaiyu Chou in an exhibition titled White Terror.  The exhibition will be on view from November 25, 2013 - January 10, 2014.  All are invited to attend an opening reception for the artist on Wednesday, December 4, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

This semester the library's 24-hour access for final exams begins at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, December 9 (the day before Reading Day) and ends at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19 (last day of exams). *Please note the weekend exception: The library closes at 9:00 p.m. Saturday night and reopens at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning  - because everyone should take a little break from studying!

I have a morning ritual here at the library. I arrive just before 8:00 a.m., put my bags down at the Reference Desk, and head into Einstein’s for a cup of coffee. On Friday mornings I pause to see if the most recent Vanguard has been added to the newsstand. I often flip through the paper during my 8:30 a.m. reference desk shift while awaiting the day's first questions.
