In the Know @ the Bentley Library

The Library is offering an opportunity to unwind, socialize with fellow students, and finish up final assignments with a research party!

The library will close for Bentley University’s Thanksgiving Break at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23. We will reopen on Sunday, November 28, at 1:00 p.m.

Whether you are currently seeking funding for a project, or just curious about where to look for help with grant writing, the Foundation Directory Online Professional is a valuable resource to consult. This database provides information on grantmakers and their philanthropic activities and includes over 108,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S., and over 3 million recently awarded grants. 

Searching the Database

The Bentley Library is pleased to welcome Danielle Krcmar as the new Curator of the RSM Art Gallery. Danielle comes to us most recently from Babson where she worked with artists, faculty and students to curate, promote, and install art exhibits across campus.

Borrow a book (hand selected just for you) to enjoy over the Holiday Break. We know you are busy and it is hard to keep up with the latest book buzz, so use your Bentley Librarians’ expertise. 

How to participate:

Take a look at the 146 new books, movies, audiobooks and ebooks that we added to our collection last month! Go to the New Books & DVDs page to browse the new arrivals by subject or format. When you see something you want, click the “Request” button to place a hold on it.

Somehow, 2021 is almost over already! Do you have a reading goal for the year that you’re still trying to reach? Or maybe you just want to grab a book that you can start and finish relatively quickly? Then this display is for you! Every title is under 240 pages (some titles are well under 100!) and the selections span multiple genres. You’ll find literary fiction, memoir, horror, fantasy, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels, and more.

Researching a country? 

Europa World provides profiles of over 250 countries and territories, including extensive sections on political history, foreign affairs, and economic affairs. 

The library will remain open during Bentley's Fall Mini Break with some adjustments to our normal operating hours on Sunday and Monday. We hope that you'll all enjoy the break from classes, but we are here if you need us!
