UX Boot Camp

 

Building on our twenty-year tradition of delivering leading-edge user experience programs, Bentley University is pleased to announce our 2014 User Experience Boot Camp will be held March 10 - 14, 2014.

The UX Boot Camp is designed to accommodate a diverse range of participants including designers, UX researchers, usability specialists, business analysts, product managers, market researchers, and software and web developers. The curriculum was carefully designed to reflect emerging market conditions and employer demands.

The UX Boot Camp highlights the growing importance of the user experience as a strategic business advantage and a point of differentiation in mature or hypercompetitive markets. As a leading business university, Bentley is uniquely positioned to deliver this perspective in a thoughtful and challenging learning experience. The five-day program is organized around five themes:

  1. Elements of the user experience
  2. User research and market segmentation
  3. Design Implementation and innovation
  4. Assessment and measurement
  5. Process improvement and success metrics

The UX Boot Camp offers a powerful combination of presentations, applied workshops, and an expert panel. As a participant, you will experience the complete design lifecycle by carrying a design problem from research through design to validation. Participants are organized in teams, and design problems are chosen to test and deepen your understanding of the topics. Continental breakfast and lunch are included in each day, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening will include a special social event. The program concludes with a luncheon and awarding of certificates on Friday.

For participants of the User Experience Certificate program, this program fulfills two course requirements: IN922C Usability Testing (required) and an elective course of the participant's choice.
