UX Certificate Program

Bentley University's User Experience Certificate program is one of the oldest and most respected programs of its kind in the country. The program is designed for working professionals, with maximum flexibility to fit your busy schedule. Certificate program participants join a global network of UX professionals.

Building a solid foundation in behavioral design, user experience research and design, and project management, this certificate helps participants improve the performance of their product designs while enhancing their competitive positioning. Each class contributes to one or more pieces in your UX portfolio.

Getting Started

The certificate program is the right choice for those breaking into the UX field, those looking for career enhancing credentials, and those looking to master specific skills. 

Bentley's UX Certificate Program is an open enrollment program. There is no application process. You are required to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis. The certificate program can be completed in 1 year but students can complete at a pace that fits their circumstances.

Program Structure

Courses may be taken individually or applied towards a certificate awarded after completion of 9 courses, 3 of which are required (Human Factors and the User Experience, Usability Testing, & Managing a User Experience Group.)

Each course is a 2-day intensive on Thursday and Friday from 9am-5pm. Courses can be taken in any order. Students are given an individual portfolio assignment at the end of each course and will have approximately two weeks to complete it.

Available In-Person or Online

All courses are offered in person or can be accessed remotely, in a synchronized format. Remote students will participate real time and have access to the class materials beforehand. To receive credit, all students must be present during the full two days of class.

Organizational Discount

Save 10% on registration when three or more participants from the same organization enroll in the same course.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy requires that notice of cancellation be submitted in writing to Gail Wessell (gwessell@bentley.edu). No refunds are given for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the program's start. Bentley reserves the right to cancel any course in the event of low enrollment. Bentley is not responsible for travel costs in the event of a cancellation.
