January 20, 2026
Happy Spring Semester, everyone! We are excited to have the building buzzing with energy again. We know getting back into the academic groove can be a challenge, so we’ve rounded up a few quick reminders to help you navigate our spaces and services. Whether you're looking to study, print, research, or relax, here’s your refresher on making the most of the library this semester.
Library Hours
During the spring semester the normal library hours are:
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m.
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–12:00 a.m.
- Friday: 7:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Hours will change during Spring Break and Patriots' Day holiday weekend. Check the hours calendar to view the library, research help, Einsteins, and IT Help Desk hours for the entire semester.
❄️ Inclement Weather Closings
- During the winter months the library's hours may be impacted by inclement weather. When the University is closed for weather, so is the library. Keep an eye out for the University's official announcements.
- If the library needs to make an emergency closing outside of "regular" university hours (late at night or on the weekend), we will make announcements on our social media channels and via email. Follow @BentleyLibrary on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date.
Study Smarter
- Group Study Rooms - three ways to make reservations:
- Book online via the using the University’s EMS room reservation website,
- Download the Direct Spaces app (available for both iOS and Android) to reserve a room.
- Book a room on-the-fly using the touch panels outside each room.
Don’t forget to “check in” to your reservation within 15 minutes of the start time. otherwise your reservation will be canceled.
- Find Your Zone - Respect the Silent, Quiet, and Collaborative study zones. Check the maps on our Study Spaces page if you aren't sure where to go.
Printing Reminders
To print from anywhere on campus, you need to be connected to the Falcon Printing system. Before you hit print, make sure to do these three things:
- Have the Falcon Printer drivers installed on your laptop. Instructions are available on the Falcon Printing website or the IT Help Desk can help you with the installation.
- Connect to the eduroam wifi network (not the guest network).
- Have your Bentley ID to swipe at the printer!
Using Course Reserves
Does the syllabus say that a book or other item is on reserve or available at the library? Here’s how to find course reserves:
- Use the Library Search to search by course name, course code, or instructor to see what items your professor has put on reserve for your class and are available to check out.
- Online, electronic course reserves can be found in the “Resources” module of the Brightspace site for your class.
Get Free News Subscriptions & Access to Academic and Specialized Databases
- Free subscriptions to top news sources - The library offers special online subscriptions to The Economist, Bloomberg.com, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times for current students. Visit our Current News guide for more information.
