Mission

The mission of the Center for Integration of Science and Industry is to "understand the process by which science is translated for public value, and accelerate this translation by engaging science and industry in interdisciplinary dialogue, scholarship, and education."

The Center brings together the perspectives of natural science, business, analytics, and policy to understand, and advance, the path of translational science and the business models that create public value from the fruits of scientific discovery.

Dr. Fred Ledley
Our Center exemplifies Bentley’s commitment to 'good business' by engaging in scholarship designed to advance pharmaceutical innovation as well as the availability and affordability of life-saving drugs. We’re honored our work has had a significant impact on business practice and public policy.

Megan Forman "My opportunity to join the Center for Integration of Science and Industry is characterized by its overall attitude that all ideas, regardless of who shares them, are seriously considered and explored. The ideas in my term paper that transformed into a two-year research project became one of the most influential and critical growth experiences of my Bentley career. As a non-traditional Bentley student pursuing a degree in Health Studies, I often questioned health industry ‘norms’ and was grateful to sit in a room full of people doing the same. Although I am transitioning out of research to pursue the next step in my career, the skills I developed through with CISI are invaluable, and I am eager to return to research in the future."
