The RSM Art Gallery is proud to announce that Why We Make Featuring Sandworks by Brian Wilson (Faculty, English and Media Studies Department), will be on view beginning Tuesday, September 2. To celebrate, the Gallery is hosting an opening reception and artist talk on Wednesday, September 10. The talk will begin at 5:00pm followed by a reception from 5:30-7:00pm. We hope you can join us!

Welcome back, Falcons! We hope you had a great summer and are ready for a new academic year. We want to help you be prepared, so here are six things we'd like you to know as you start the semester. We highly recommend that you don't wait to:

1. Get Connected to the Printers

Bentley faculty research takes many forms: art and articles, essays and editing, and of course, books.

In observance of Labor Day, the library will be closed Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1. We will start our regular fall semester hours at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2. For more information about library, research help, café, and IT Help Desk hours, please view the online hours calendar.

Welcome to all the new graduate and undergraduate students arriving to campus this week! We are excited to meet you and want you to feel at home at the Bentley Library. 

We know that orientation week is packed with activities, but please stop in when you have time. You'll find a new student welcome table in our lobby stocked with important information about the library (including printing and study rooms) and giveaways.  Library staff are on-hand to answer any questions you have.  

As many of you have known, our online museum pass reservation system was down as we searched for a new vendor. After many months, we are excited to announce that we have found and implemented a new system! 

We are pleased to announce that the library is once again offering Ancestry Library Edition to the Bentley community! Uncover your family history using billions of historical documents and images available in this robust and immensely popular genealogical research database. 

We're looking back at the books and streaming films that captured your attention during the 2024-2025 academic year! Here are the print books, ebooks & audiobooks, and streaming films that garnered the most checkouts/streams.

The library is excited to feature Bentley University faculty and staff book recommendations in a special book display—Campus Reads: Faculty & Staff Favorites. The display will be in our lobby from July 1 through August 15, coinciding with the Bentley Community Learning Conference being held July 21-23. The books on display were chosen by Bentley faculty and staff who responded to our request to "share the books that have informed, inspired, or entertained you with colleagues across campus".
