Need a break from studying? Join us at the library for Reading Day Relief activities on Tuesday, December 9th! Here are the highlights:

Now that the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder, why not take a break with a Nintendo Switch from the Bentley Library? 

The library’s Nintendo Switch consoles and games are available for you to borrow with your Bentley ID. Our Switch kits come with everything you need to connect to your TV or play on the go. Extra Joy-Cons are also available to borrow for multiplayer games as well as racing wheels!  

What does the library have other than books? Lots! We have gear to help you study, create, relax, and play. 

Bentley Library will close for Thanksgiving Break at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25. The building will reopen and library services will resume on Sunday, November 30, at 12:00 p.m.

Discover something new in our latest nonfiction display! The Bentley Library staff have carefully selected standout titles from across a wide range of subjects and interests. Whether you're looking for academic insight or a bestselling read, this collection highlights titles you may have missed when they first hit our shelves.

Consensus is an AI search engine for academic research. It is an AI tool designed to search over 200 million scientific research papers and access automated summaries of research results. Bentley University has teamed up with Consensus to offer premium access to this research tool.

What Consensus is not.

It’s International Open Access Week from October 20-26. This week is a chance to celebrate the practice of making scholarly research articles freely available to all through Open Access (OA). Currently, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has compiled over 11 million OA articles in their database. This vast collection of scholarly knowledge is immensely useful to the public, but how do Bentley faculty view OA? We interviewed several Bentley faculty members who have published openly to gain their insights. 

RSM Gallery is pleased to present The Gleanings, a solo exhibition of Photography, installation, and embroidery by Joetta Maue. To celebrate the opening, the Gallery is hosting an artist talk and reception on Thursday, October 16. The talk will begin at 5:00pm followed by a reception from 5:30-7:00pm. 

October 5th marked the start of Banned Books Week, an annual event launched in 1982 to bring awareness to efforts to ban or challenge books in libraries, schools, and bookstores. This year’s theme, Censorship is so 1984, speaks to the continued encroachment of outside voices attempting to control what people can and cannot read.

Can you believe it's already time for fall break? While we hope you'll all enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation, the library is here for you if you need us! We will remain open during the break with some adjustments to our normal operating hours on Sunday and Monday.
